The challenge:
Category Manager is responsible for managing the industrial Capex for all breweries in Zone Europe, including the MRO (Maintenance, Repairs and Overhaul). Define the category strategies that are under the control of the Regional Procurement office. Category Manager will also lead the strategic sourcing initiatives and optimization projects for the Category in that region. In addition, provide Regional support for categories managed centrally by GPO. There is a strong collaboration with supplier development team, analytics and sourcing support for categories.

The role: 

  • Definition & execution of category strategies
  • Define category risk assessment
  • Execute strategic sourcing initiatives with multifunctional teams (Global and Regional Procurement, PSS and procurement capabilities group) 
  • Manage supplier relationship and develop collaborative initiatives
  • Validate and approve analysis of categories and market analysis
  • Develop and Maintain its related Category Card
  • Ensure contract compliance
  • Negotiate with suppliers and select the best option
  • Review, sign and ensure implementation of negotiated contracts/PO’s
  • Resolve outstanding contract/PO issues and claims
  • Complete contract termination requests & submit for approval
  • Execute Regional Value Engineering Projects
  • Define & execute innovation strategy
  • Ensure supply security/assurance & supplier development directions are handled 
  • Drive POCM & COM CAPEX purchase and planning process optimization in cooperation with key Commercial stakeholders 
  • Qualifications

    Who we’re looking for: 

  • University Degree or equivalent. Ideally MBA graduate 
  • Minimum 3 years of hands-on procurement / category management experience
  • Experience in FMCG / CPG industry
  • Strong analytical skills and Project-management skills
  • Leadership skills and coaching skills
  • Basic knowledge of finance and accounting allowing the ability to run/read analysis of a supplier’s P&L and balance sheet
  • Communicating effectively by conveying information and ideas in English, in a clear, meaningful, and timely manner, providing information to ensure understanding; solicit inputs and provide open candid conversations
  • Developing collaborative relationships for the purpose of accomplishing work objectives developing relationships with other individuals by listening, sharing ideas, and appreciating others’ efforts
  • Ability to coordinate across multiple countries and functions
  • English as the working language, other languages are an advantage
  • Ability to conceptualize business impact focused analytics
  • Understanding of sourcing and analytics tools such as Ariba, Emptoris, SAP MM/SRM, advanced MS Excel, MS Access, Database tools (SQL etc)
  • Basic knowledge on using e-sourcing tools
