A full time mandate of assistant professor is granted for a first term of 2 years, renewable after notice of the competent bodies for 2 other periods of 2 years maximum for a full time. The purpose of the mandate being to lead and finalize a doctoral thesis, the tasks will be equitably divided between “teaching “ and “ research “. These can be reviewed on a regular basis.
The doctoral thesis will be part of a collaboration within the Faculty of Pharmacy of the ULB between Professors Véronique Mathieu, Stéphanie Pochet, Carine De Vriese et Caroline Stévigny about phytomedicines. More precisely, the research project aims to evaluate natural complementary medicines (CM) in oncology, including the evaluation of their oral biodisponibility, their impact on liver metabolism and their therapeutic and/or toxic effects when used in combination with conventional or targeted chemotherapeutic drugs in a rational and computational-based approach (in vitro). The project also includes the study of the natural CM used by cancerous patients and their interactions with their daily treatment.
The hired person will have to contribute to the supervision of several pratical courses and seminars in French at the Faculty of Pharmacy according to our coordination program. Concerned courses include :
