Within this context, we are looking for a Solution Director. In the bpost ICT organization, the Solution Director is accountable for the servant leadership of all the agile roles in a given enterprise solution domain.
As Solution Director, you are the leader and the go to person for the people in your domain as well as for their counterparts in the business.
You lead and manage the feature managers and product owners for your enterprise solution domain.
You define and manage a vision and roadmap for your solution domain, based on input, visions and roadmaps coming for the applicable business stakeholders such as e.g. epic owners and digital transformation managers. You ensure the right balance between short term deliverables with business value and long term strategic directions.
You follow up closely with the Epic Owners so you understand and can assist the feature managers in their challenge to (re)(de)fine the capabilities into the right features including the right priority and align with the Product Owners to define the work and priorities for the different agile teams.
You communicate all changes to the feature backlog clearly to all stakeholders.
You assist the Feature Managers in making the Features transparent to all stakeholders involved. You make sure the Feature acceptance criteria are properly defined and agreed upon,
You support business involvement in the backlog prioritization for your domain. You consolidate business requirements & prioritise and trade off features/ business requirements together with the Epic owners.
You align with other Solution & Feature Managers of the other trucks on the work to be delivered when there are cross-dependencies between trucks for an Epic/feature.
You advice and challenge the business on solutions and features taking all aspects and consequences into account in close collaboration with the truck Team,
You ensure, together with the Truck team, the definition of ready (DOR) and the definition of done (DOD) for Features in your domain are met.
You drive PI planning goals on a Domain level. You make sure, together with the Feature Managers and the Product Owners that the input needed in order to have a successful PI planning has the right maturity.
You monitor and report on quality and performance of deliverables on Feature/Epic Level: Features validation with business, follow up budget and advise business accordingly, committed features vs delivered.
You ensure continuous improvements by sharing knowledge and best practices. Also come up with new features to create value, not only execute the ones of BU.
You provide the reporting insights towards business including financials and capacity vs. demand.
In your role of Solution Director, you are an experienced ICT professional who combines strong organizational skills with a pragmatic and coaching approach. In addition, we would like to highlight the following qualities:
You have master and a proven track record of at least 5 years in ICT and/or business program management, preferably using Agile Methodology.
You have a broad technical knowledge of jira, confluence, miro, …
You are able to manage different stakeholders in English & in French and/or Dutch.
You have a positive and open mindset. You do not think in terms of problems, but in terms of creative, flexible and quick solutions.
You are able to work under pressure and customer orientation is a second nature for you.
You have an international perspective and you are sensitive to cultural issues.
You have strong influencing and networking skills (thanks to your engaging nature, flexibility and high EQ).
You have a strong sense of initiatives and a hands-on approach.
You have an experience in a results-oriented environments with cross functional interactions.
